Thank you! As the school year comes to a close and the journey for the children of the community takes a bit of a break, please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support. We are so very grateful for the partnership that we share with the community. Your resounding support of the proposed school budget and your participation in the process is very important to our preparation for next school year. You have supported continued innovation and a spending plan that recognizes the current economic climate.
As the realities of next year’s spending plan set in, we will continue developing our plans for next school year. These plans include the rigorous review of particular curricular areas, development of new programs and courses supported by the budget, ongoing professional development of our faculty, and the development of action plans that will make our goals become a reality this coming year.
Throughout the summer, our staff will be very busy preparing for the students that they will be teaching and in developing goals for the coming year. July and August provide us all with an excellent opportunity to reflect on the successes of the year and the areas where we would like to be proactive in growing our program.
On a more personal note, thank you also for your support throughout the year. As my first year here concludes, I have had the opportunity to reflect on what an incredible school district this is and how excited I am to be working with you and your children. It has been a pleasure getting to know an excellent learning community. Brighton is home to outstanding students, parents, staff and community members.
