Galaxy Feature
Each month you will find a featured piece of poetry, prose, or artwork created by Brighton High School students for you to enjoy. This month, we have a poem from Galaxy 1994.
Driving Past Life

Purple Grackles reflect sunbeams
off their gleaming bodies as they
dance on a windy stage above the
wheat field. But Mr. and Mrs.
Blythe notice nothing of the ballet
outside their shut up windows.
They roar past in their maroon
station wagon and argue with nine
year old Laura Elizabeth who in-
sists on stopping at McDonald's
for supper.
