Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Updates

  • COVID Update — Nov. 17, 2021

    Dear Families,

We hope that you and yours are staying well and healthy. As you can see from the numbers below, we are seeing a rise in COVID case numbers similar to patterns throughout the county, especially among age groups previously ineligible for vaccination. We hope that those that are eligible will continue to consider this as an option for keeping themselves and everyone around them healthy. We’re happy to assist you in finding a vaccination opportunity. Please visit the Monroe County website or contact us at if you would like more information about resources that are available.

We do not foresee any upcoming changes to our operations, but wanted you to know that we are constantly evaluating our current practices and will make adjustments as needed. It does not appear as though school is a primary location for the spread of COVID given the precautions that are in place. To that end, we hope that you will continue to consider the advice of health professionals with regard to masking outside of school and taking the precautions that you and your family are comfortable with.

Our COVID numbers as of today are:

    • Students or Staff in Quarantine: 23
    • Council Rock Primary School Cases: 10
    • French Road Elementary School Cases: 3
    • Twelve Corners Middle School Cases: 3
    • Brighton High School Cases: 4

Stay well and thank you for your hard work to keep everyone around you healthy.

    Kevin McGowan, Ed.D.
    Superintendent of Schools
