FINAL LAB PRACTICAL : HW AND PREP FOR NEXT CLASS

  • Homework for A Day.....complete the Lab Worksheet Plan. We will use the scribe copy for the final, but Everyone is responsible for turning in a completed work plan.

    Today you will prepare for your Final Lab Practical on 

    Monday 11/6 B Day & Thursday 11/9 A Day!
     
     AFTER YOU WATCH THE VIDEOS !!!!!!
    Map out the "new " Final lab planning sheet. 20minutes Use the attached recipes to do so (see related files below).
     
    The goal is to take what you've learned over the past 10 weeks and apply it to a blank plan form. There will be NO DEMO of this recipe.  The only exposure to this will be in the videos you watch below.  Make sure you watch for the modifications of our Final recipe (written out) that you will make compared to the professional chefs.
     
    ** the completed Lab worksheet counts as part of your final exam grade.
    Please read the examples below to help plan:
     
    Thomas/Jaden share the job of chef, they will split the cleaning or caygo jobs and you should add.... extra tasks under the "cooking job" so there is enough work for two!! Use the recipe to decide task such as grating carrots, onion , garlic and peeling potatoes.
     
    1.  Please gather with your team. All team members need copies of the Lab Planning sheet and recipe.  Scribe takes input/help from team to make an effective finished work plan.  There is NO winging it! 
    As part of your final lab, your group is graded on the completeness of this lab sheet and again, all members should input...so there should be 4-6 sets of eyes and minds on the tasks.
     
    2.  You will not have time next class to plan. Do so this class and have teacher check it  over, then Scribe clip it on the class space of the chalk board for next class!

    Think how  to CAYGO, Mise en place, Synergize to create the best lab work ever.  This is your final!!! Listen and watch carefully!! After the videos , you will have time to complete your Final lab planning worksheet.

    Our final practical recipe is borrowed from Rachel Ray ....with modifications:
    hint ...we will use flour method over meat and add stock, not a roux.
