Field Trips and Special Days - Looking forward to lots of fun and special times!

  • Fifth Graders will participate in a variety of special events and field trips this year.  Here's a sneak peek of a few events to look forward to this year.

We will have a fall and winter Roller Skating party after school.  Fun times with your fifth grade classmates!

After studying the interesting cultures and countries of Latin American, we will have a Latin American Art Day!

After learning about our solar system and space travel in Science, we will blast off to the Mission to Mars Simulation at the Rochester Museum and Science Center.

As part of our philanthropic efforts, fifth graders are invited to participate in the annual Jump Rope for the Heart event!

We love to party!  We will have 3 class parties this year as we celebrate Halloween, Winter Solstice, and Valentine's Day!

In Social Studies we will learn about American History in the late 1800's.  You will have the opportunity to dress as a person from that time period and participate in American History Day as we learn and do crafts from that time period.

Learning about our environment is an fun and interesting Science unit that ends with a field trip to our very own Powder Mill Park where we'll do an all day Stream Study.

FRES playing fields are filled with fun games for our Field Day, thanks to our Phys Ed teachers!

To celebrate our year together, the entire fifth grade goes to Seabreeze for a fun filled day.

Before we know it, the last week of school will be here.  During that week FRES will have a End of Year Celebration complete with our transformed playground.  Fifth graders have a special ceremony to say farewell as you move up to TCMS in our Move Up Day Ceremony.
