Child Care Resources

  • Are you in need of child care this coming school year? We've compiled a list of resources and links for area programs. Please note that the District is sharing these community resources for families in need of child care. Each of these opportunities have a limited capacity for students. The District does not sponsor nor endorse these community resources that have been shared with us. The information here is provided as a courtesy service to the community during this unique COVID-19 time. To submit a program for this website, email Dan Goldman.

    Brighton Recreation: Brighton Rec. is continuing to offer its afterschool care program. The program is now available for afternoon kindergarteners as well. Click here for more information. Check back as programs will be added throughout the fall.  

    Doodlebugs: The Doodlebugs locations in Brighton and Henrietta are both offering school-age care. Please see the flyers for the Brighton and Henrietta locations. 

    Inspire Crayon Campus: Crayon Campus is offering flexible options for school-age children up to age 12 for fall 2020, including full-time, part-time and half-day care options. Visit for more information.

    JCC Rochester: The JCC is offering School Day at the J, a hybrid school model for students in grades K-12 providing academic support and enrichment. Click here to view a flyer and visit for more information.

    Kids First Childcare: The Kids First Childcare Center in Brighton has spots available in its school-age program. Call them at 473-3709 for more information. 

    Rich Beginnings: The Rich Beginnings Hybrid Program is 5 days a week for families who need care on non-school days or after school. Click here to view the flyer

    Rochester Museum and Science Center: The RMSC is offering the Curiosity Club for students in grades 1-8 learning virtually who need a safe and engaging place to be during remote school days. Visit their website for more information.

    Strong Museum of Play: The Strong Museum is offering the Strong School Club for students in grades 1-5. It’s available 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week. Visit their website for more information.
