Update to Families – April 24
-
Dear Families,
As the song expresses, lean on us. Please use the links below to find information on food, support, and contacts for you to have questions answered or help arranged.
We’re seven weeks in. The weather hasn’t been great and the circumstances have not been ideal in many ways. However, progress is being made! It sounds like social distancing has been effective (keep it up) and that less people are getting sick. There is some light at the end of the tunnel. Although we have no idea when we will be back, it is heartening to hear discussions of how life can get back to something resembling normal.
Thanks to all of you who have been able to participate in the weekly Virtual Town Halls and for sharing perspectives through Thought Exchanges. Your feedback has been so valuable in helping us make adjustments. A consolidated report with your thoughts and answers to questions can be found by clicking here.
Please reach out and connect with us during our next Virtual Town Hall at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 on our Facebook page. A new Thought Exchange link will be sent out next week to gather your questions and comments.
Our next Board of Education meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28. The agenda includes a budget update. The full agenda and information on how to join the meeting via Zoom are available on our website.
- We will continue to offer bagged breakfasts and lunches for children and adults. This will continue Monday through Friday until schools reopen. Meals are free for students. We will have pick-up available at BHS Door 23. Pick-up is from 9 to 11 a.m. If transportation is an issue, please call us at 242-5200 and we’ll get food to you. More details are available at this link.
- We will be offering technology support for TCMS and BHS parents next week. Visit this Zoom link (https://zoom.us/j/91847673498) between 9 and 10 a.m. and 6 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 30. These office hours are for parents of students in grades 6-12 who need support with SchoolTool, Schoology, Microsoft Office 365, or need help troubleshooting a technical issue with a district-owned device.
- Click here to contact the right person to support whatever your need may be. You will find contact information for administrators, staff, technology support, counselors, and food service. We want to support you in every way we can.
Take care and as always, best wishes for continued good health.
