Good evening! Thanks for your patience this weekend. Putting the pieces together on this show has been both thrilling and challenging. You all gave us SO much to think about, from your talent when singing and acting to your energy when dancing, to your teachability during callbacks. We hope you will understand that we consider so many factors during these long directing team conversations – your unique skill set, stretching each of you as performers, and most of all, putting on the absolute best show for BHS in the winter of 2024! Please understand that “fit” is such a huge factor in casting, and this is what matters most of all, beyond other factors such as seniority, past performances and roles, or anything else. We ask that you please respect the care, love, and thoughtfulness we put into these decisions, and know that we love you all and want the best for you.
IMPORTANT – I will be at the high school right after school (2:45/50-ish) on Monday (TOMORROW!) for you to check out rehearsal materials. I’ll be in the VPA office. Come by, say hi, and check out your materials. *If you can’t come tomorrow, let me know.
That said, we are SO excited to begin rehearsing with you. I’ve been waiting since June for this day to come, and now it’s here! Let’s head to Bikini Bottom!
