Debate & Research Paper
Students, Parents and Staff:
Often history is open to interpretation. It has been said that where you stand determines what you see. We often view history through the eyes of our own culture and perspectives. This debate project is designed to encourage students to investigate different perspectives in history and understand that events are often not as transparent as they may first appear.
Students will complete research concerning a specific historical event/era and debate its impact upon world history. Each student will also partake in a debate topic of their choice in class and will write a parenthetically cited 5-6 page paper summarizing their research with a works cited page attached.
