Welcome from the Brighton Central PTSA!!!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 Brighton Central PTSA. The PTSA greatly values the partnership between parents, teachers, and the school administration so we can ensure that our children have a successful school experience.
PTSA offers parents various volunteer opportunities such as:
Book Fairs, Ice Cream Socials, Staff Appreciation Events, Festival of Ideas, FRES & CRPS Family Movie Nights, Springfest, School Pictures, 8th Grade Farewell Bonfire, Homecoming, Spirit Wear Sales, Library Support, Game Nights, Mock Interviews, Art Room Support, TCMS Activity Nights, Summer Activity Fair, Author Visits, 8th Grade Dance, Fun Food Fridays, Food Truck Rodeo, FRES Bingo Nights, Brighton Believes Day, Senior BASH, and many more!
These events would not be possible without generous help from parent volunteers. As the PTSA is striving for new ideas and new insight, we are also in need of new volunteers more than ever! We encourage everyone in the Brighton community to consider involvement in the PTSA.
PTSA also hosts monthly Central Community Meetings that are open to all community members where we strive to keep you informed about updates with the PTSA and within the district. The meetings also feature our Superintendent, Dr. Kevin McGowan, who graciously attends and presents at each meeting. They are hosted in person at 2035 Monroe Avenue (Central Administration Building) and online via Zoom, offered at day and evening times to accommodate different schedules. Please see the PTSA Calendar for specific times.
The last component of the PTSA is fundraising. All of the events listed above are locally funded, by year-round fundraising activities and donations. The beneficiaries of our fundraising include hardship grants, scholarships, donations to our school libraries, educational programs and more.
Please donate to the General PTSA fund to support our programs and events!
If you ever have any questions, comments, or ideas, please feel free to e-mail me at bcsdptsapres@gmail.com.
Thank you for your continued support of the Brighton Central PTSA and our BCSD Community.
Leslie Seltzer,
President, Brighton Central PTSA 2023-2024
Interested in becoming involved? Interested in helping to enrich your child's school experience? How about meeting new people in your community? The reasons are endless to volunteer with the Brighton PTSA. There are many ways that you can share your time and talents. Daytime or evening, behind the scenes or right up front, there is something for everyone.
Please note that filling out the form does not commit you to volunteer. It's less of a 'sign up' and more of an 'opt-in for communications'.
