Brighton Your Wardrobe (BYW) is a program of Jewish Family Service of Rochester in partnership with the Brighton Central School District.

    Mission
Brighton Your Wardrobe is a clothing cupboard with the mission to provide clothing to individuals, families, and children living within the Brighton School District or attending Brighton Central Schools who are in need.

    Location
BYW is located in the Brookside School building at 220 Idlewood Road.

    Shopping
BYW has clothing for people of all ages and sizes including some shoes and boots. Our inventory is dependent on donations from the community. BYW is happy to be able to offer clothing at no cost. Here are some things to keep in mind:

    • Brighton Your Wardrobe is a program of Jewish Family Service and the Brighton Central School District. Our charge is to serve those living within the Brighton Central School District or attending the Brighton Central Schools.
    • BYW will collect limited demographic information from shoppers for tracking and evaluation purposes.
    • Shoppers who may be in need of additional social service assistance will be referred to a Jewish Family Service social worker.
    • When choosing clothing, please be mindful that we have limited inventory and may need to control the quantity distributed to each person/family.

    Shopping Guidelines
Individuals/families may shop up to 4 times per year. At each shopping trip, each person may choose clothing in the following quantities:  2 shirts or blouses, 2 pants or shorts, 2 sweaters or sweatshirts, 1 coat or jacket, 2 dresses or skirts, 1 suit/blazer, 2 t-shirts, 2 pajamas, 2 pairs of shoes or 1 pair of boots, 2 accessories.  If you have a specific need that is not met by this list, please speak to the BYW Coordinator.  Shoppers who would benefit from additional social service assistance will be referred to a Jewish Family Service social worker.
