    Hello Students!

Welcome to a new school year as an eighth grader.  I am pleased to have you in this math class.  I am very excited about this year and I hope you share in my enthusiasm.  Since I will be working with you this year, I decided to share some things about myself.

I have lived in Rochester my whole life.  I grew up in Greece, New York.  I have one brother Kevin, who now lives in California.  My parents still live in Greece in the same house I grew up in.  I went to SUNY Brockport for my undergraduate degree and graduate degree.

I have worked at TCMS since the year 2000.  I worked in the math lab for the first two years and have taught a mixture of seventh and eighth grade since then.  This year I am teaching eighth grade math and algebra honors.  I am looking forward to learning from you as much as you will learn from me.

I have been married over twenty years and celebrate my anniversary in October.  My husband, Joe, and I have a daughter who was born in January 2004.  Her name is Kylie Lynn and she keeps us busy.  We also have a yellow lab named Jasper.  He is full of energy and loves food!  He is also a great addition to our family.

My family is very important to me.  My husband and I spend a lot of time with our daughter.  We wind down our day by taking walks with Kylie and Jasper.  We live in Odgen, so there are plenty of places to explore.  I wind down my day by running, bootcamp class and weight training.  I enjoy reading and wish there was more time in the day to get lost in a good mystery.

As you work with me in math class this year, I hope you will learn how useful math is in our everyday lives.  I also hope you are looking forward to a new school year and a new year of math.  I am excited about this school year and I look forward to working with all of you.
