Residents of the Brighton Central School District approved a $93,153,759 budget for the 2022-23 school year by a vote of 1,967 to 461. The budget received an 81% percent “yes” vote. The projected tax levy increase for 2022-23 is 2.12%.
Dr. Glazer has been the Head of School at Hillel Community Day School in Brighton since 2014. Prior to that, she was the Program Director for Art Education, an Assistant Professor, and the Director of the Art for Children and Teens Laboratory School at Nazareth College.
In order to plan for the 2022-23 school year, we’re asking the parents of students in Grades K-8 to notify the Transportation Department of day care plans or if your child will not require transportation as soon as possible. Forms must be submitted by May 15.
The Brighton Central School District Board of Education approved tenure recommendations and presented teacher and teaching assistant tenure certificates at the June 14 Board meeting.
For the 13th straight year, Brighton Central School District was honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation.
All Brighton students participated in a day of service during the Brighton Believes Day of Caring on March 9. The four schools offered age-appropriate service projects and guest speakers that allowed students to demonstrate the Brighton Beliefs and help others.
