Sign up this Summer to get involved in the Fall!

Interested in becoming more involved? Become a PTSA volunteer!

There are many ways that you can share your time and talents. Daytime or evening, behind the scenes or right in the action, there is something for everyone

Please note that filling out the form does not commit you to volunteer. It's less of a 'sign up' and more of an 'opt-in for communications'.

    The 2019 / 2020 PTSA Volunteer Form

The Brighton Central PTSA organizes, funds and provides parent volunteers for many activities for students, including:

    • Book Fairs
    • Ice Cream Socials
    • Festival of Ideas
    • FRES Family Movie Night
    • Jump Rope For Heart
    • Food Sales at BHS Springfest
    • School Pictures
    • 8th Grade Closure Party
    • Homecoming
    • Spirit Wear Sales
    • TCMS Activity Nights
    • Summer Activity Fair
    • Senior BASH
    • FRES Roller Skating

The Brighton Central PTSA provides opportunities for parents to connect with the schools. PTSA building chairs host regular meetings at each school so parents have a chance to talk informally with building administrators and other parents. PTSA selects parent representatives to serve on building and district committees. PTSA collects donations and plans events to show school staff  how much they are appreciated by parents.

Brighton PTSA grants money to help students and families experiencing financial hardships, donates to school libraries and funds parent education opportunities and scholarships.

Brighton PTSA keeps parents informed through mailings, updates in newsletters, announcements on channel 12, and eNews (email distribution of school, district and PTSA news). PTSA also prints a yearly calendar, which goes on sale in late August. The calendar lists school events and vacation days, tracks cycle days and lists school and PTSA contacts. The calendar is a valuable back-to-school supply and a yearlong resource. Best of all, when you purchase a calendar, you support PTSA by becoming a member. Brighton PTSA is an affiliate of both New York State PTA and National PTA, the oldest and largest volunteer association working exclusively on behalf of children and youth. A portion of your calendar cost is used to pay dues to the larger organization.

Please continue to volunteer and support the Brighton Central PTSA. Together, parents can make the 2018-2019 school year one of the best for Brighton's children.
