The days are getting shorter, the nights are cooler and soon the leaves will begin to change. You know fall is upon us when everywhere you turn, 'pumpkin' flavoring is being advertised everywhere.
The first few days of school have been great. I have really enjoyed getting to know your children and watching them experience our new flexible classroom. The children have enjoyed trying out instruments, meeting new friends, and our maker spaces.
I am hoping to update the website every couple of weeks. This is a new site, so bear with me as I learn the ins and outs.
Events Coming Up:
**Star Quality Assembly - 2:25-3:00 pm
**F&P Benchmark Reading Assessment (September 14)
**MAP Test - Math
**FRES Family Picnic
**No School - September 21, 22
I hope that your children will continue to enjoy their time in 4th grade. The pace and amount of curriculum will continue to increase over the next few months. Their homework routine and requirements will increase as well. It will be important for your child to make being a student their number one priority. I will provide the guidance and support in the classroom along with some learning fun and hopefully you will be supportive, but hands-off at home. Beginning to take responsibility for their own learning will be a skill that THEY MUST master.
We will continue to go outside as weather permits. It is important for children to be breathing the cool, fresh air and getting their wiggles out:)
Again, I am so honored to be your child's teacher this year. We are having a blast in our classroom.
See you soon!!!
