    Dear Families:

Welcome to the 2019/2020 school year at Council Rock Primary School! Along with the staff, we are eager to begin the new school year with your child.  We are committed to working with you to provide a quality education for every child.

During the school year you will receive information through newsletters, bulletins and parent/teacher conferences.  Informal contact is made through notes, phone calls, e-mails, eNews and Brighton’s website.   We want to know your questions, comments, ideas and concerns.  Please keep us informed about your child.

You are invited to be a partner in your child’s education by visiting the school, participating in the Parent Teacher Student Association’s (PTSA) activities, volunteering, and attending our special events.  The PTSA calendar will be available for purchase one-half hour before Curriculum Nights.

The calendar is most helpful in keeping track of events and the six-day cycle schedule.  Look for the PTSA flyer in your August packet for more information on upcoming events.

There is another letter attached with details about the beginning of school and your child’s classroom assignment. Also attached is a letter from your child’s teacher with information for the start of school.

Each year a packet of materials is prepared for parents which includes the school calendar, information from our PTSA, forms for reporting absences and other helpful material.  You are asked to pick up your “August Packet for Parents” in your child’s classroom at their scheduled open house.   The packet will be sent home with your child on the first day of school if you are unable to pick it up.  The Parent Handbook explains the policies and procedures in our school and can be found on our Council Rock web site on the Publications and Forms page.  It contains bus pass, arrival/dismissal, and safety information.

I hope the rest of your summer is enjoyable and relaxing.  We look forward to seeing you and your child in September.

    Sincerely yours,
