Twelve Brighton High School students qualified for the New York State DECA Conference at the District 10 DECA Conference on Dec. 19. The team of Itamar Zahavi and Will Kelly qualified in Entrepreneurship; the team of Matt Falter and Mike Klem qualified in Marketing Management; Shan Sun qualified in Personal Financial Literacy; Sam Zarkowsky qualified in Business Services Marketing; Charlotte Sadler qualified in Hotel and Lodging Management; Alex Finn and Jake Shapira qualified in Automotive Services Marketing; Daniel Mao qualified in Food Marketing; Malak Mustafa qualified in Restaurant and Food Service Management; and Natalie Vinton qualified in Retail Merchandising.
Hundreds of students from the Rochester area attended the regional conference at Rochester Institute of Technology. The State Conference will be held Feb. 26 to 28 in Rochester. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
