Festival of Ideas a Hit with Students

Brighton Central School District’s annual Festival of Ideas was a hit with students in March. About 650 students in grades 3 through 8 came to Brighton High School to participate in the educational fun day. It was the 33rd year of Festival of Ideas!

This year's mind-boggling array of topics included returning favorites such as circus arts, cake decorating, clay creations, scuba diving, Bavarian pretzels, and archery. The lineup included exciting new entries such as magic, chocolate falafel, kali warrior martial arts, marbled paper, and watercolor fun. Each student participated in three workshops, each lasting 50 minutes.

Thank you to the workshop presenters and the adult and student volunteers who helped make the event a success.

Festival of Ideas is quite simply the quintessential school-community event!
