Red Ribbon Week in Brighton

CRPS B's

Oct. 22 to 26 was Red Ribbon Week in Brighton. All four of our schools had special theme days.

One of the themes at Council Rock Primary School was “B Healthy.” Students decorated a Brighton B to illustrate the healthy choices that they will make in their lives. Council Rock students also signed a Red Ribbon Week pledge poster that will be displayed outside of their classrooms.

The pledge says, “In support of Red Ribbon week, I pledge to grow up safe and healthy. I will love myself and treat others the way I expect to be treated. I understand that it is important to eat healthy foods and exercise. I will show friends and family ways to be kind and make healthy choices.”

One of the themes at FRES and TCMS was ‘B’ a good friend, post-it style. Students and staff wrote kind thoughts and inspirational messages on post-it notes and put it on someone’s locker.

Other themes included: wearing Brighton gear, silly sock day, hats off to healthy choices, wearing red, and BHS students wearing college and career apparel because “Brighton Believes in Future Fridays.”
