Brighton Central School District's Festival of Ideas celebrated its 30th year on March 2. Over 600 students in grades 3 through 8 came to Brighton High School to participate in the educational fun day.
A total of 70 hands-on learning workshops were led by community volunteers. This year's wide range of options included: cake decorating, SCUBA diving, henna tattoos, snakes and reptiles, sweet shoppe, science extravaganza, paper airplanes, curling, marbled paper, and video game coding. Each student participated in three workshops, each lasting 50 minutes.
Thank you to the workshop presenters and the adult and student volunteers who helped make the event a success.
Festival of Ideas is quite simply the quintessential school-community event!
