Nine members of the Brighton school community were honored at the PTSA Life Membership Ceremony on May 1. Individuals receiving this recognition were honored for their outstanding service and commitment to the welfare of our children. Honorary Life Membership in the New York PTA is one of the highest honors that one can receive from the organization.

This year’s honorees were: Brighton High School teaching assistant Deirdre Carter, Council Rock Primary School teacher Ashley Youngman, CRPS and BHS art teacher Lisa Jordan, Twelve Corners Middle School library media specialist Katie Lambert, TCMS custodian Dave Luce, BHS special education teacher Meghan Gibbons, BHS social studies teacher Tony Trama, BHS science teacher Sean Metz, and the late Shelley Fitzgerald, a TCMS special education teacher.
