The District thanked its Board of Education members as part of School Board Recognition Night on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Brighton students treated the Board of Education to some musical performances. The performances included: a video of the Council Rock Primary School Second Grade Chorus led by Jill Davis and Bozena Granat; French Road Elementary School fifth grade strings led by Lori Isham; Twelve Corners Middle School eighth grade trumpet player Nathan Ying led by Claire DeFelice and accompanied by Ben Meixell; Brighton High School’s Senior Trumpet Trio led by Jeremiah Cooper; Brighton High School’s Bruinettes led by Sarah Staebell; and a scene from “Puffs,” the BHS fall theatrical production, directed by Colleen Parent.

The District also presented artwork by Twelve Corners Middle School student Tessa Layland to each Board member.

The Brighton Teachers’ Association and Association for Brighton Administrators presented donations to the Brighton Education Fund in the Board’s honor.

Thank you to Board members Larry Davis, Dr. Susan Gasparino, Julene Gilbert, Karen Hatch, Christina Lee, Eleanor Oi, and Esther Winter for their service and the countless hours they devote to Brighton Central School District.
