District Recognizes Board of Education Members

The District thanked its Board of Education members as part of School Board Recognition Night on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Brighton students treated the Board of Education to some musical performances. The music included: A video of Christine Cole’s French Road Elementary School students performing “Celestial” by Ed Sheeran; the FRES fifth grade saxophone ensemble, led by Chris Doser, performing “Scarborough Fair;” the Twelve Corners Middle School eighth grade saxophone quartet, led by Bethany Cripps, performing “Sinfonia No. 3” by Bach; Brighton High School’s Crazy Pitches, led by Sarah Staebell, performing “Rich Girl” by Hall and Oates; and the Brighton Bruins Dancers, led by Jessica Padilla, performing a Buffalo Bills themed dance.

The District also presented artwork by Brighton High School student Nora Babbitt to each Board member.

The Brighton Teachers’ Association presented a donation to the Brighton Education Fund in the Board’s honor.

Thank you to Board members Carrielyn Bertino, Larry Davis, Dr. Susan Gasparino, Karen Hatch, Christina Lee, Eleanor Oi, and Esther Winter for their service and the countless hours they devote to Brighton Central School District.
