Welcome Back to School from the BTA

The BTA marches in the Homecoming Parade

The Brighton Teachers’ Association (BTA), representing over 350 teachers, nurses, and academic support instructors, is pleased to begin the 2018-19 school year with you. We are excited to be back working with students and families in Brighton.

Our members have been busy over the summer working on curriculum, attending professional development opportunities, collaborating with colleagues, working with students in summer programming, and hopefully getting a bit of a rest, too! Now that fall has arrived, it is good to be back into the routine of school.

The Brighton Teachers’ Association is proud to partner with the District in striving toward ensuring all students have the educational experiences necessary to reach their own personal potentials. BTA members are dedicated to providing the highest quality education and supports for all students.

Along with educating our students, the BTA also supports the community. The BTA was a proud participant in the Brighton Homecoming Parade. Thank you to the many community members who came out to support this special event.

Members of the Brighton Teachers’ Association recently participated in the Adopt-a-Highway Program by cleaning up litter along Monroe Avenue. Maybe you saw us out there!

The BTA also invited all District employees to join them for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. This partnership resulted in raising over $4,200, ranking the BTA team 14th out of 454 teams! It was fantastic to have almost 40 employees, plus many of their family members, walking with us to honor colleagues, friends, and family who have battled or continue to battle this disease.

The BTA is proud to serve the community of Brighton, and we thank you for your support and trust.
