Schools Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Oct. 21 to 25 was Red Ribbon Week in Brighton. All four of our schools had special theme days.

At Council Rock Primary School, one of the days was Brighton Believes in Red Ribbon Week, where students wore school colors or Brighton school gear.

At French Road Elementary School, one of the days was Hats Off to Healthy Choices, where students wore a fun hat.

At Twelve Corners Middle School, one of the days was Be Kind, where students took a photo where they were the I in kind.

Other themes included: Silly sock day, wearing red, dressing for your favorite decade, B a good friend (writing nice thoughts or inspirational messages on someone’s locker), B healthy (decorating a Brighton B to illustrate the healthy choices they make), wearing your favorite team’s apparel, and wearing college and career gear.

The Brighton High School clubs hosted several after-school events during the week. Friends of Rachel showed a movie, Black Student Union and Christian Student Union showed a movie, and Brighton OnBoard hosted a board game and cookie mixer.
