Knighthawks Talk to CRPS Students About Being Healthy
Rochester Knighthawks players Brad Gillies and Austin Shanks visited Council Rock Primary School in January to talk to students about being healthy.
To live like a “Healthy Hawk,” the players said students should try to be active for 60 minutes each day, step away from the screen, eat all of their fruits and vegetables, eat fast food no more than once a month, replace soda or sugary drinks with water, and go to the doctor for regular checkups.
Players also answered students’ questions. By pledging to live as a “Healthy Hawk,” students received a complimentary ticket to attend a Knighthawks game.
