CRPS Students Learn About Birds of Prey

A birdfrom Wild Wings

Council Rock Primary School students learned about birds of prey when Wild Wings visited during Earth Week in April. Wild Wings is a not-for-profit educational organization that houses and cares for permanently injured birds of prey which are unable to survive on their own in the wild any more.

Wild Wings outreach educator and Brighton resident Judge John Ninfo taught students about the birds during the assembly. Students were able to see a Harris’s hawk, peregrine falcon, and great horned owl. The school also collected supplies for Wild Wings.

Judge John Ninfo takes questions on the birds.
