Members of the BHS Book Club and Music Production Club made donations to the Center for Youth in May. The Book Club donated over 350 books that they collected through a schoolwide book drive. Music Production Club donated a check for $117 that they raised through a festival of electronic music that they composed and performed at a special event.

Club members also received an informational tour of the Center for Youth. Attending the visit were Book Club co-president Batya Cherney and club members Zach Householder and Clinton Smith; Music Production Club Co-President Thomas Keegan; and BHS Library Media Specialist Howard Enis, who advises both clubs.

The Center for Youth provides comprehensive programs and services from prevention education to counseling to emergency shelter to youth development opportunities with respect for and full participation of youth. They deliver these services with the deep belief that young people, given information and support, want to and can make their own positive life choices.
