Post Secondary Program Donates Toys to House of Mercy

post secondary students donate toys

The Brighton Central School District Post Secondary Program delivered toys and candy bags to the House of Mercy in December. They were given to homeless children. The Post Secondary students collected the toys with help of Brighton High School, Twelve Corners Middle School, as well as Webster and West Irondequoit’s post secondary program.

The Brighton Post Secondary Program joined the St. John Fisher College campus in the 2017-18 school year. The program’s mission is to provide young adults with developmental disabilities varied learning experiences on a college campus. These experiences support their intellectual and personal growth, so they can be as independent as possible in education, work, and community settings while building meaningful, long-lasting peer relationships.
