Craig Dennison’s eighth grade Spanish students created paper Molas. They are based on original cloth artwork from an indigenous group off the coast of Panama. Traditionally, the Molas represent sea life and other tropical animals. 

Students designed, cut out, and pasted the tiny strips of paper to create their own Molas. To cap off the project, there was a multi-class vote to determine the top-five winners (with candy prizes).
