Brighton Central School District teaching assistants spent the half days in December taking part in literacy-focused professional learning led by literacy instructional leaders Jenn Gallo and Lynda Flaherty. Together, they learned about the research around the science of reading and the shifts they might see in reading instruction at the K-5 level. The teaching assistants were engaged, committed, and excited to be part of the learning.
