Congratulations to Brighton High School science teacher Patrick Bond and math teachers Marissa Kenrick and AnnMarie Swilley on being selected as New York State Master Teachers. 

The New York State Master Teacher Program is a professional network of public school teachers with a passion for inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. Governor Kathy Hochul announced that 221 educators joined the program this year, which now includes over 1,600 master teachers.

The master teachers are dedicated professionals who teach science, technology, computer science, robotics, coding, engineering, math, and integrated STEM courses across grades K-12 including Advanced Placement, Honors, and Regents levels.

Brighton teachers Brad Allen, Mike Bonnadonna, Laura Byrne, Adam Eck, Rebecca Geary, Alpa Khandhar, Christopher Law, Stefana Monachino, Jamie Porta, Matthew Schindler, Craig Smith, Suzanne Wade, and Jessica Weber were selected as Master Teachers in previous years.
