Boys Alpine Skiing Wins First Sectional Championship in School History

The Brighton boys alpine skiing team won its first Section V championship in school history on Feb. 13 at Swain. The boys team includes: Gavin Parks, Trevor Servé, Logan Servé, Oliver Blumkin, Finn Kleinman, and Nathan Ruchlin. The team is coached by John Feltes.

Logan Servé reached the podium in giant slalom, taking third place. Logan Servé, Trevor Servé, Parks, and Blumkin helped secure the Class A championship by 15.5 points of the second-place team by skiing well in each event.

Trevor Servé, Logan Servé, and Parks will be representing Brighton and Section V in the New York State Championships at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid on Feb. 26 and 27.

The Brighton boys also won Monroe County League Championships in slalom and giant slalom. Gavin Parks was named the League Champion, Parks and Logan Servé were named First Team All-County, and Trevor Servé was named Second Team All-County.
