Steel Drum Band Performs at Council Rock

Council Rock Primary School students received a special treat on March 28. The Creekside Steel Drum Band returned to the school for an exhilarating assembly. This year, they were thrilled to offer the musical experience to all grade levels. The band captivated students and staff with a repertoire of popular songs.Ms. Davis helps a student play the drums

The ensemble includes students between the ages of 15 and 21 and is led by Sarah Wendl, a music therapist at Monroe One BOCES. The Creekside School is a center-based program located at the Foreman Center for students with multiple disabilities. Within the 12:1:4 self-contained setting, students develop the academic, communication, daily living, and social skills that will provide the foundation for life-long success.

Everyone was engaged in a toe-tapping and hand-clapping musical extravaganza, which was a wonderful end to Music in Our Schools Month!
