Hannah Marangola Named Outstanding Senior

Hannah and Dr. McGowan

Brighton High School student Hannah Marangola was selected as the school’s Outstanding Senior. She was recognized at the Monroe County Council of School Superintendents’ (MCCOSS) Michael C. O’Laughlin Outstanding Senior Recognition Dinner at East High School on May 8.

The Outstanding Senior Recognition Dinner is the only program which recognizes excellence in all our county and city high schools at one event. Students are selected for this honor based on their scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The honorees were presented a gift by Monroe One BOCES District Superintendent Dan White and their respective school superintendent.

Hannah is a member of BHS Executive Class Council, serving as representative to the Culture Climate Leadership Team. She was selected to participate in the Shared Spaces Art Exhibit at Nazareth University alongside teacher Katie Maley. Hannah helped paint a mural in the BHS art room and murals on some of the traffic boxes around the town of Brighton. She competes on McQuaid’s Robotics Team and is the Robotics Manufacturing Team Lead and Safety Captain. Hannah was accepted early decision to Northeastern University’s architecture program.

Congratulations to Hannah!
