BHS Chess Team Wins Championship

For the third consecutive year, the Brighton High School Chess Team won the Rochester Interscholastic Chess League championship on May 4 at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School. The Bruins swept their competition in the four rounds played during the championship. Brighton also was the league champion with an 8-1 record and the league's highest scoring team with a total of 467 board points. 

The team includes: Alan Jiang, Andrew Wu, Darren Lin, Austin Rao, Hasan Sula, captain David Lusignan, Tobias Rizzo, and Henry Swing. John Clements is their advisor.
