2019-20 School Lunch Program Information

Dear Brighton Parent,

It’s hard to believe we are days away from the start of the school year. With this in mind, we wanted to remind everyone that the Free and Reduced priced meal program is available to any household that qualifies.  Anyone may apply at any time throughout the year.

Beginning July 1, 2019, students in New York state that are approved for reduced price meals will receive breakfast and lunch meals at no charge.

Below please find the following documents related to the 2019-20 school lunch program: 1) Application for free or reduced price meals for the 2019-20 school year; 2) the parent letter including instructions and information regarding the application process; 3) a fact sheet related to the Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program; and 4) a parent disclosure agreement. If you wish to apply for free or reduced price meals, please print the application, fill it out completely, and mail it back to Brighton Food Service at 220 Idlewood Road, Rm. 102, and Rochester, N.Y. 14618. If you choose not to mail the application back to us, you are welcome to hand deliver it to the Food Services office Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or drop it off at the main office of your child’s school and they will send it to our office.

If you prefer a hard copy of the attached documents be mailed to you, please email foodservice@bcsd.org or call 585-242-5200 ext. 4567 and we would be happy to send you a copy.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send an email or give us a call at 585-242-5200 ext. 4567.

Enjoy the last few days of summer.
