Request or Sponsor Thanksgiving and December Holiday Baskets

The Brighton Central School District and Brighton Food Cupboard are working together to offer Thanksgiving and December Holiday baskets to families who would benefit from them.

If your family is interested in receiving a basket for either or both holidays, please fill out the form on our website: https://www.bcsd.org//cms/module/selectsurvey/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=186

The information you provide would only be used for the baskets. Thanksgiving baskets would be delivered on Sunday, Nov. 21 and December Holiday baskets would be delivered on Tuesday, Dec. 21. The deadline to sign up to receive a basket is Friday, Oct. 29.

The Thanksgiving and December Holiday baskets include:

1. A chicken (sponsors will not need to provide chicken as this will be provided by a third party)
2. A can of cranberry sauce
3. A boxed dessert (brownie/cake mix)
4. Three cans of mixed vegetables (mixed vegetables, green beans, corn)
5. One box/can of gravy
6. One 5-pound bag of potatoes (any type)
7. One 3-pound bag of onions (white or yellow)
8. One 3-pound bag of apples (any type)
9. One 2-3 pound bag of carrots
10. One small box of cornbread mix
11. And a tote bag for the items.

Thanksgiving baskets would need to be dropped off Nov. 15-17 from 9 a.m. to noon or on Nov. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. December Holiday baskets would need to be dropped off Dec. 15-17 from 9 a.m. to noon or Dec. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. The deadline to sign up to sponsor a basket is Oct. 29.

Drop off is at the Brighton Food Cupboard at the Brookside School, 220 Idlewood Road, off Evans Road. There will be a cart outside Door #16 and a sign-off sheet. BFC staff will be checking the cart often to bring items into the building.  If you cannot drop off the basket during the dates and/or hours listed, please contact 585-271-5355 to schedule another drop-off time.
