Welcome Back to School!

Dear Families,

Welcome back to school! We are very excited to welcome everyone back to begin the journey again. As I’ve said many times before, we are so fortunate to work with you. You entrust us with your children, the centers of your universe, we are grateful, honored, and beyond excited to get to work with them again this year. Thank you for being our partners in this endeavor. It will undoubtedly be a great year for all of us as we work together on behalf of your children.

As the year begins, please know that as an organization we are focused, intentional in continuously growing, and passionate about being both aligned and mission driven. Each year, we involve a large group of stakeholders to embark upon a strategic planning process that results in our Blueprint. The Blueprint outlines exactly what work we will be doing and clearly defines action steps that will be taken to achieve our goals. If you’d like to know more about the work happening throughout the District, please click the files below to learn more.

We’re glad to be embarking on a “new normal” in so many ways. We’ve learned quite a bit over the last several years. While we’re anxious to return to a sense of normalcy, predictability, and the comfort of knowing what is coming next, we are also committed to remembering what we learned as it relates to flexibility, communication, alternative instructional strategies, and social emotional health. Information regarding updates related to COVID-19 protocols can be found here: https://www.bcsd.org/coronavirus.

They boil down to stay home if you’re sick, come back to school after five days or when you’re feeling better, and wear a mask for five days upon return.

Thank you again for entrusting us with your amazing young people. We are looking forward to supporting them in every way as they grow in every way. Good luck and best wishes to all!

Sincerely,

Kevin
