Chaun Brooks Named TCMS Assistant Principal
Brighton Central School District Superintendent Dr. Kevin McGowan has announced the selection of Chaun Brooks as the new Twelve Corners Middle School assistant principal.
“We couldn’t be more excited to add this dynamic and talented educator to our team at Twelve Corners Middle School,” Dr. McGowan said. “We’re so fortunate to have Ms. Brooks coming to work with our children, families, and staff.”
Brooks brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge, having spent the last 11 plus years as a science teacher and department lead in the New York City public school system. She is a highly skilled educator with a proven track record of success in helping students and her colleagues achieve their full potential. Brooks has a deep understanding of the challenges facing secondary school students and is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Capital University and a master’s degree in chemistry education from Long Island University. Brooks also completed her certificate of advanced study in school leadership at Hunter College.
Brooks will start her work in Brighton on July 1, 2023. Mr. Rob Thomas will remain in the interim role through the remainder of the school year.
