BHS Presents “The Language Archive”

Brighton High School proudly presents “The Language Archive” by Julia Cho at 7 p.m. Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 in the BHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.

The story is about George, a man consumed with preserving and documenting the dying languages of far-flung cultures. Closer to home, though, language is failing him. He doesn’t know what to say to his wife, Mary, to keep her from leaving him, and he doesn’t recognize the deep feelings that his lab assistant, Emma, has for him.

The cast includes: Henry Ager as George, Soph Miller as Mary, Adia Shetler as Emma, Nathan Gessesse as Resten, Casey Howe as Alta, Ana Bansal as The Driver/Understudy Mary/Passerby 2/Old Man Baker, Haydie Po as Language Instructor/Understudy Alta, Taylor Howe as Conductor/Passerby 1/Understudy Emma, and Daniel Gasparino as Old Man Zamenhof/Understudy George.

Colleen Parent is the Director; MeMe Mikols is the Student Assistant Director; Jack Witmer is the Technical Director; Peggy Zorn is the Costumer; Nadine Dykes is the Photographer; Hudson Sloan is the Stage Manager; Jordan Inzinna is the Assistant Stage Manager; Rhys McLendon is on Sound; Stella DeRisio is on sound FX; Connor Mitchell is on lighting; Teja Jensen and Arwen Hull are the Deck Leads; Rio Sama and Tessa Lindstrom are the Deck Bosses; Ashe Nipe, Anna Sackett and Mary Lundy are on Stage Crew, and Laina Cohen is on props.
