Council Rock Primary School was excited to host author Saadia Faruqi on Nov. 6. Faruqi is best known for her early reader series “Yasmin” and “Ali the Great.” During library lessons, students read these books, her picture book, “Rani's Remarkable Day,” and learned about Pakistani culture. Art teacher Mackensie Galusha created a display of Faruqi’s characters to welcome her to Council Rock.

Thanks to the Nancy Beck Memorial Fund, every student received a celebration bag containing a bookmark, stickers, luminary bag, and pretend mehndi kit.
