Presley, and I am currently a sophomore at Brighton High School. I’m someone who thrives on creativity, storytelling, and visual expressions. I’ve always been passionate about art in all its mediums, whether that’s photography, writing, or digital media, but graphic design is where I’ve found one of my strongest connections. I love experimenting with color, layout, and texture, and I’m always looking for new ways to make my ideas feel new and exciting. One of my strengths is my eye for detail, and I try to notice small things that others might overlook. I use this to attempt creative, thoughtful, and overall polished work that represents me.

Graphic design, to me, is the perfect combination of storytelling and visual impact; it’s how I bring ideas to life in a way that’s expressive of how I see the world. I’ve had the opportunity to design many posters for clubs in Brighton, contribute to Galaxy Art & Literary Magazine, and work for Fashion Club designing our new fashion magazine. Through these processes, I've explored how design shapes character and feelings. Each project has helped me grow not only as a designer, but also as a communicator and a student of the arts. Graphic design isn’t just a skill I practice, but rather how I express who I am and how I connect with the world around me. I feel as though this shirt, specifically, represents not just a part of FAB but a small part of me as well, and my commitment and overwhelming gratitude for my Brighton community.

Friends of the Arts in Brighton

Arts Booster Club

Friends of the Arts in Brighton (FAB) Arts Booster Club is a resource for the students, families, and faculty who support and enhance Brighton Central School District’s exceptional arts programming. Through fundraising, community drives, opportunities for enrichment, social gatherings, and partnerships in the community, we broaden access to the arts and build community around our rich offerings.

FAB’s fundraising for the arts provides scholarships for students to attend the Brighton Summer Arts program.

Our initiatives include:

Concert Clothes, Dance Costumes and Show Shoes. FAB organizes periodic community drives for clothing, sometimes in partnership with Brighton Your Wardrobe, and maintains lending closets for students needing attire for concerts, performances, or special occasions.

Donation Drives. Based on teacher needs and requests, FAB coordinates donation drives for instruments, sheet music, art supplies, props and other needs.

Concession Sales and Event Support. From high-school and middle-school musicals to district-wide festivals, FAB members sell refreshments and keepsakes for students and their supporters.

Use of Local Gallery Space. We partner with local institutions, including the Town of Brighton, to exhibit student artwork in unique gallery space such as the Buckland House and Brighton Winter Farmer’s Market.

Your Idea Here. We thrive on creativity and community – come join us! You’ll feel FAB.

FAB meets the first Monday of each month at BCSD Central Office. Connect with us at FAB.BCSD@gmail.com
