Brighton High School’s Galaxy magazine received a Superior designation from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) in its Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) Program.

In 2025, schools in 44 states, Washington, D.C., and six countries nominated 456 student magazines. Of these entries, only 135 REALM submissions earned a Superior ranking in January.

The award-winning volume was entirely produced by students Sydney Wolff, Lauchlan Presley, Arianna Cator, Sophia Rocha, Marta Ross, and Claire Fien. Their work would not have been possible without guidance and support from their advisor, Ms. Trowbridge.
